I started this fitness journey in July of 2018. I left my corporate career once my mother passed from breast cancer and jumped into pursuing my true passion in life helping people through health and fitness. This significant life event sparked a major move for me to trade in my Human Resource hat for a coach’s shirt and sneakers. Fitness is what helped me to deal with grief, anxiety and body image issues. My biggest joy  is to watch clients and members achieve those goals that they have always wanted to attain through soulful movement and mindful nutrition.

My fitness career has had a mix of coaching heart rate based interval strength and cardio based training beginning at Orangetheory. After my time at Orangetheory, I took a position at Spenga Fort Lauderdale where I instructed spin, strength and yoga. My approach to coaching focuses on the three main pillars of fitness, cardio, strength training and flexibility.

I am an avid runner, duathlete, fur Momma, and Titi. My side hobbies include gardening, mixology and reading anything that keeps those pages turning. My mission is to help my clients on their fitness and health journey by helping them find their love for life in fitness training for moments they will never forget.

Starting my day with Tania is now critical to me feeling successful as a person. Is there anything that surprises you when you attend my coaching sessions?
I am all virtual so was just all the support you provided even though it was virtual. How you would support me with positive feedback from day 1 and just whenever I needed it. I was not getting that from anyone and before I had in person coaches who were not as accessible as you. I was surprise that we are virtual yet I feel like you are close by.

What would you tell someone who was on the fence about trying out my coaching sessions?
I would say I am pro group workouts, but there is something about individualize workouts that no one can beat. I would say if you want someone who will judge you and make you feel bad for falling off then Tania is not for you. If you want a true judgement free zone an and someone who listens then come on Down, Tania is not about the BS she is about how do we move forward.

How do you feel before, during, and after our coaching sessions? Before I worked with you, I didn’t feel great. I was working out a lot and not seeing a lot of results. I wasn’t eating a bunch, would skip breakfast and eat too few calories. I would also mentally “punish” myself for a bad eating day - eating too much pizza bc I was at someone else’s house and couldn’t control ordering healthier stuff. Working with you helped me to shake off days like that, and look at the positive - “I bet you had a great workout the next day with the extra carbs!” And I did! I loved the reframing and positive spin on something I would have historically punished myself for. During the coaching process, I felt weird at first because I had to work to hit my macros, especially the protein/ calorie goals. You really helped me come up with great ways to hit those goals. After I walked away with a goal for the week that I knew I could hit, and your follow up emails with food ideas and reiterating our conversation were extremely helpful.
3. Is there anything that surprises you when you attend my coaching sessions? I think the biggest surprise was that I could eat MORE calories and lose weight and look more toned. And didn’t really feel “deprived.” Also the fact that you want me to take more rest days was not easy but something I committed to and have stuck to. I have definitely committed to more strength focused workouts.

My confidence for sure has gone up and just feeling comfortable with myself and understanding the motions of my body changing. Food is fuel not the enemy. Also working out use to control my mind, if I was at work, with family, at dinner all I would think about it that I should be working out instead or I can’t eat that because I didn’t work out. I don’t stress about missing days now.
